Blue Sprigged Lawn Regency Dress

This dress is made from a blue floral sprigged Liberty of London lawn that I saw and fell in love it.  It is not easy to find very small patterned cotton semi-sheer fabric for Regency dresses so I grabbed it when I saw it.

The dress was made using Laughing Moon Mercantile #130 Ladies Regency Wrapping Front Trained or Untrained Gown, Redingote, and Tunic C. 1798-1813.  It is similar to their bib front gown #126 but the front is a two piece cross over instead of a single bib.

This simple dress can be accessorized in a variety of ways.  For the first wearing I chose a dark blue silk ribbon sash and a chemisette with a lace fall collar.  I purchased the straw bonnet blank and trimmed with with green and blue striped ribbon, in the hopes that it can be worn with several outfits.
