Royal blue faille dress copied from a Worth original. The bodice is trimmed with braided self fabric and antique gold and blue fringe trim. The dress has the slightly higher waistline of the late 1860's and apron style drape that will develop into a bustle in the 1870's. The hat is antique.

The polonaise style tunic is made from antique black lace over red taffeta, trimmed with black lace and, black taffeta bows, and antique jet glass beaded appliques. The neck is trimmed with an antique crimped black silk ruffle, salvaged from a damaged antique dress of the period. My husband is wearing his late 19th Century frock coat with Velvet lapels and 1860's button fly pants. These photos were taken inside a friend's Victorian house, complete with Bradbury and Bradbury wallpaper!
