Man’s Regency Suit

I made this suit for Bill for the 2015 Jane Austin Ball.  It was my first real attempt at tailoring, and it didn’t turn out bad at all!  For the frock coat and waistcoat, I used Laughing Moon Mercantile’s #122 MEN’S EMPIRE AND REGENCY TAILCOAT and #125 1795-1817 Men’s Vest patterns.  The breeches are cut over JP Ryan’s Breeches pattern – it is already fit and I was running out of time.  At some point I would like to make a pair of LMM’s Narrow Fall Front Breeches to go with this instead.  The wool fabric came from Burnley and Trowbridge.  The top hat is antique.
