1860’s Green Voile Sheer Dress

Made from green cotton voile woven with a windowpane check pattern, this sheer dress was made using the Truly Victorian pattern TV447 – 1863 Sheer Dress.  It is lined with cotton – the lining is “low” meaning it does not come up to the jewel neckline of the dress, leaving the upper chest covered with just the sheer fabric.  This makes the dress cooler to wear.  It has small cap sleeves under the full sheer sleeves, and is worn with a matching belt.
